Był szczęśliwym dzieckiem i każdego roku wyczekiwał własnych urodzin, przyjęcia w dużym ogrodzie, klaunów i tej pani ze słodkim głosem, która z balonów potrafiła wyczarować całe zoo. Dzielił się tym z młodszą siostrą, oddając jej najwspanialsze prezenty nawet wtedy, gdy ich rodzice się rozwiedli, a ich dwójka została rozdzielona. On trafił pod skrzydła apodyktycznego ojca, który do ucha miał na stałe zamontowany zestaw słuchawkowy swojego telefonu.
